Art Fundraiser

Hi all, we have finally established a venue and date for Riaan's Art Fundraiser Auction!

Time:  18:30 for 19:00

About the Fundraiser...

We are currently enquiring from artists around the country if they'd be willing to donate their art to Riaan's Fundraiser.

The aim of the fundraiser is to gather a decent collection of art works (any art work) and present them at an Art Auction to the highest bidders. The funds raised will go to Riaan's Stem Cell Fund.

Riaan has been raising funds for his treatment since September 2007. He has raised R60 000 to date by himself but recently it has become increasingly diffucult for him since he is becoming exponentially weaker.

It's incredibly tough for him to raise the funds alone. Both his parents are deceased. He is also very weak and not mobile since he is without transport.

About the Art Auction...

Tienie Pitzer from Alice Art Gallery in Hartbeespoort has offered his assistance to Riaan in the organization of the Auction. You may contact Tienie for more information at: 083 325 0358.

At present Tienie is very busy with running his gallery but he assists Riaan whenever a free moment is available. Tienie is offering his services for free for which we are most grateful.

We are currently searching for a venue/date/time for the auction and we rely mostly on Tienie's assistance since he has years of experience in the matter. Hopefully we'll soon be abe to post details about the venue/date and time of the auction.

Hi all, the organisation for the auction is going very well. It's hard work, but things are looking on the up and up. We have received some sponsorship for food-platters and wine for the auction.

Artists around the country are also extremely generous with their donations. We hope this will make the auction a success! Tienie Pitzer from Alice Art Gallery is also providing much needed assistance and we thank him for giving his free time to our Riaan' cause.
